Yesterday, reporter Vanessa Carr‘s holiday-tinted Sunday Mission Walk was interrupted by a two-alarm fire on 26th Street.

Thanks to her work, and local photographers Lori Engels and Geoffrey King, we managed to put together a slideshow of pictures from the fire.

Meanwhile, Allan Hough is finally back at Mission Mission (thankfully, rumors of his blogging death had been greatly exaggerated) and as a welcome back present to everyone, we get this awesome photo of a man doing his laundry, transformed into a walking tomato.

Photographer Brad Evans has been walking the Mission lately too, shooting some great street portraits. Camera 1. Camera 2.

Meanwhile, on Friday I took a walk with Julie Michelle of Caliber, where she stopped to take some pictures of some bougainvillea growing in the alley behind my place. She’s a speedy shooter, shooting and processing it all in an hour. Troy and I should take note.

Last, Burrito Justice is getting ready for some slammin’ cocktail parties by brushing up on his geological maps of the city via Google Earth. Chalk one up for the USGS.
