Posted on: The Mod Squad? Dolores Park Stewards.
Hi Bob. Thanks for reading. I did my best to represent the viewpoints expressed at Wednesday's meeting. There weren't people there arguing that Dolores Park is the best that is has been in years -- but even still, everyone tried to keep the airing of their (wide range of) grievances to a minimum so they could focus on the trash issue. Chris: your point is one that someone mentioned at the meeting, but there is a lot of uncollectable trash like cardboard, cigarette butts, plastic bags, food containers, etc. that contribute to the problem of the overflowing trashcans. Thanks for leaving your comment! #

Posted on: Police and Residents Discuss Murders, Gangs
Thanks, Russel, for those beautiful photos. Christine, thanks for your comment. While there were certainly some younger folks there, I felt that it was striking that in a conversation so focused on the activities of young (near-teenage), Latino men, there were very few in the crowd. I did notice that there were more young people crowded outside than there were seated inside. Thanks for sharing your thoughts on the meeting. #
