Is everyone else sick right now too? I’ve been sick all week, but it seems like the fall cold is more broadly distributed than the fall leaves. The rain and the autumn blues signal a time to lie on the couch, drink tea and read or stare at a screen.

I’ve spent a lot of time in front of my computer screen this week. One thing I’ve noticed is that Sesame Street is making the longest-ever appearance on Google’s homepage. Our favorite childhood friends turned 40 this week and have been getting due respect by our entrepreneurial juggernauts in the Bay Area.

While I’ve seen Bert, Ernie and the gang, I have seen no sign of our mayor. Maybe Newsom’s sick and that’s why no one’s seen him all week. If that’s the case, maybe his absence is understandable. But if he’s feeling up to par, I encourage him to check out all the cool art events going on in the Mission this weekend.
