If you have questions or concerns for new Mission Station Capt. Gaetano Caltagirone — or would just like to meet him — don’t miss the community meeting at 6 p.m. Thursday at Mission Station (630 Valencia St.).

Capt. Caltagirone assumed the post on Saturday after Capt. Bill Griffin was reassigned to a Special Operations Unit focused on terrorist incidents and catastrophic events. Capt. Caltagirone, 50, was previously the city’s night captain. In the past, he also oversaw foot patrols on Market Street while a sergeant at Tenderloin Station.
