A 42-year-old man was shot and injured at 11:53 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 9, police report. The man was being pursued down 17th Street near Harrison Street by two male suspects, one of whom pulled out a silver revolver and fired at the victim. The man was transported to the hospital in life-threatening condition.
At 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, a 31-year-old woman was robbed of her purse at gunpoint. The woman was walking along Mariposa and York streets when an unidentified man approached her and pressed a gun to her back. After the woman gave up her purse, the suspect fled on foot, evading arrest.
An unidentified burglar entered the residence of a 40-year-old woman and a 40-year-old man near Natoma and 14th streets early Thursday morning. At about 4:30 a.m. the victims awoke to rustling noises in another room of their residence, police report. When they got up to investigate the noises, they saw that a burglar had entered and exited their home through the front door, stealing only their keys. No arrest has been made.
