Happy Valentine’s Day! We hope everyone is enjoying our love-themed stories, and in the future they’ll still be available under our new multimedia category.

This is one of a few changes we’ve been making to our site, so we hope you don’t mind as we try out new ideas. We have a few new projects in the works as well.

On to the Mission. It’s not all good news. Two shootings that occurred Friday night, on the 500 block of Shotwell Street and 24th and Capp Street, have earned the Mission a mention in the Chronicle along with several other news outlets. Four people total were injured in the shootings.

Fog City Journal has posted a piece on the sad state of San Francisco’s city budgets, and upcoming budget cuts. Keep your eyes on Mission Loc@l for stories on how those cuts will play out in the Mission.

If you’re looking for things to do Saturday night, there are plenty of options, including the Museum of Broken Relationships at Root Division Gallery. There’s also the Erotic Art Exhibition at City Art Gallery, and Artists’ Television Access is holding a special “All You Need Is Love” fundraiser for St. James Infimary.

Also tonight, Hamburger Eyes is having a fundraiser art sale, tonight from 5-9 p.m. Go buy some art! You can read more coverage about Hamburger Eyes from Mission Loc@l here.

From Mission Mission, you can get your fill of Hedwig all weekend long at the Victoria Theater.

Also thanks to MM, 7×7 has published an “Insider’s Guide to Valencia Street” with little secret tidbits about the delicate flower that is Valencia Street.

Now get out there and have a good night, everyone.
