It’s end-of-year giving season—and we have matching funds.

Good morning—and happy December.

Way to go, neighbors! We’ve got video of a car catching on fire on 24th Street this morning; two women fought it with water from Tony’s Market and Liquor Store until the fire department arrived.

Lawyers for Nina Momeni, accused of the murder of Bob Lee, asked to have his trial moved out of San Francissco, saying that “a vast majority of San Franciscans” are in the tech sector, and would consider Lee a “celebrity.”

Meanwhile, William Palmer, the SF commissioner accused of sexual assault, will proceed to trial. A preliminary hearing presented the testimony of police witnesses, but revealed that Palmer’s DNA was not found on the victim’s body.

If you can’t stop poring over our map of building work by shady characters, or if you’re relieved to get the real story behind official press releases, please support our newsroom. December is the month to double your gift to Mission Local!

More soon,

Sara
