No, you’re not imagining it: There are a lot of empty storefronts on Mission Street. We counted 56 between 14th St. and César Chávez, and report on why so many are vacant.
Last year, Mission Local reported the online brags posted by Javier Campos after the mass shooting in the Mission. Yesterday, prosecutors cited those brags in court as part of Campos’ preliminary hearing, and attempted to link the suspect to the Sureños gang.
