Author Archives: Alissa Figueroa

Alissa studied everything Latin America in college and later spent a couple years helping homeless folks maneuver New York City's social service bureaucracies. So it's fitting that she now covers city services in the Mission District. She loves community reporting and eating burritos, and is very happy to be doing both here.

About Mission Local

Since 2008, Mission Local has been producing enterprise-reporting on SF’s most critical issues: police reform, corruption, public health, housing and homelessness – all while also recording the lives and changes in the city’s oldest (and arguably, best) neighborhood. Learn more about us.
