It’s 7 a.m. and 61º. Summer has started in San Francisco and today the Mission will be even hotter than yesterday — the high is expected to be 87º. It’s another Spare the Air Day because of the high temperatures.

You may just be recovering from the weekend, but it’s never too early to plan the upcoming weekend, right? Valencia Street newcomer Preservation Hall West is slated to open Thursday, just in time for this weekend’s Hardly Strictly Bluegrass festival. The Preservation Hall Band, Steve Earle and Elvis Costello, among others, are scheduled to play the new venue this weekend.

Thousands participated in Critical Mass’ 20th Anniversary ride Friday. In case you missed it, Mission Local shot video and photos. Dolores Parks Works wasn’t too happy with riders at Dolores Park, according to Uptown Almanac.
