An unidentified man was shot and killed in Bayview-Hunters Point on Sunday afternoon — the second fatal shooting in the neighborhood in one week.

The shooting comes days after a man was shot and killed on Thursday evening near the Yosemite Slough waterfront.

On Sunday at approximately 12:40 p.m., officers responded to reports of gunfire at Reuel Court, a residential community. When SFPD arrived, they found an unconscious man suffering from gunshot wounds.

Despite the efforts of paramedics, the man died at the scene. No arrest has been made.

If deemed a homicide, the shooting will be the 21st homicide in San Francisco this year and the sixth in the neighborhood.

This remains an open and active investigation. Anyone with information should contact the SFPD at 415-575-4444 or text a tip to TIP411 and begin the message with SFPD. You may remain anonymous.

This is breaking news and will be updated as more information becomes available.
