Mission Local will co-host a forum on Oct. 13 between state Sen. Scott Wiener and District 1 Supervisor Connie Chan, the two candidates vying to replace Rep. Nancy Pelosi in the city’s first competitive congressional race in four decades.
The forum, in partnership with City Arts & Lectures and the New York Times, will take place at 7:30 p.m. at the 1,600-seat Sydney Goldstein Theater, a 100-year-old venue a few blocks from City Hall.
Mission Local’s columnist and managing editor, Joe Eskenazi, will co-moderate the event with Heather Knight, the San Francisco bureau chief for the New York Times.
“You could do worse than joining us on October 13,” said Eskenazi. “We’re going to put our next congressional representative to the test.”
