Good morning Mission. And welcome to Virus Village, your daily data dump.

Scroll down for today’s the numbers.

HiGeorge, a data visualization startup, developed some new visualizations for Mission Local, which we will be using and fine-tuning in the days to come.

The Mission posted another 14 cases bringing the total case number to 1163.

As of August 14, 80 ICU beds, and 407 Acute Care beds were available on August 14.

  1. Hi Mark,

I checked SFDPH Map of Cumulative Cases webiste https://data.sfgov.org/stories/s/Map-of-Cumulative-Cases/adm5-wq8i/ today, and the color coding for case counts in SF areas have changed to better highlight the differences between areas. I had replied to one of your daily reports about the old color coding (don’t see where that reply went now) being not very useful, and it is good to see that the color coding has been changed. Don’t know if the change was merely serendipitous with my reply, or if you had queried SFDPH about the old color coding. In any case, it’s all good.
