Essential Memories: Latino Task Force worker sees the difference caring for the community can make

Zair Gonzalez, 25, began working for the Latino Task Force in April 2020, just two weeks after it began giving out food and offering face-to-face social service resources. At first, Gonzalez’ job was to bring food to people waiting in line, and help people get up to the second floor for social services appointments. Nowadays he splits his time between the Alabama Street location, and the new hub in the Excelsior.
