Open Studios comes to the Mission next weekend

Open Studios Weekend 5, which includes studios in the Mission, takes place Nov. 11 and 12. Locations include 1890 Bryant St. studios, The Farm, Code and Canvas, Art Explosion, Project Artaud, Developing Environments, Ruth’s Table, the Pacific Felt Factory, Back to the Picture, the Allied Box Factory, the Redbrick Studio and the Redstone Building, Spark Arts and a ton of artists opening up their standalone studios around the neighborhood. Mission resident finds scorpion in their living room

A local resident sent Hoodline photos of quite the creepy-crawly encounter: A small scorpion in the carpet of their living room. Thankfully, though a dog and small child are in the house, no one was stung. –LW

The San Francisco Public Library is holding public input meetings at each branch to evaluate its open hours. Mission Branch will have its input session Saturday, Nov. 4, at noon in the general floor area.
