This Saturday, Sept. 9, creative learning center Ruth’s Table, along with its sister organization Bethany Center Senior Housing, is unveiling a new mural at its location at 3171 21st Street between Mission and Capp streets. The mural, which has been painted on a temporary wall erected for center’s remodeling, is a collaboration between local artists, Bethany Center residents, and folks from around the neighborhood. The unveiling will be held from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., and will be accompanied by live music from the Community Music Center.

In addition to the unveiling, the center will be featuring a Mission-based artist in its gallery and will be holding a public sewing circle in which participants will be sewing a giant rhinoceros. That goes from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
