Writing and tutoring center 826 Valencia is celebrating its 15th anniversary tomorrow  on Valencia between 19th and 20th Streets.

The event – cohosted by their neighbor Different Fur Studios – will open at  noon and continue until  5 p.m. featuring a long list of activities and OMG,  826 cupcakes.

For those of you who don’t know it, 826 – a project founded by author Dave Eggers and educator Ninive Calegari makes all of us more literate in many different ways, but one of the most important is that it has been an invaluable resource for neighborhood kids and others who need tutoring and extra help.
