Police arrested five people in Dolores Park yesterday for attempting to rob someone of their bike.

The suspects, five people of unknown age, approached their victim in the park at 4:44 p.m., according to police. The bike owner took out a knife and slashed one of the would-be robbers on the arm.

Details of the incident were sparse — no description of the victim was given and it’s unclear if the victim fled the scene.

Officers detained all five suspects. One of the suspects sustained a non-life-threatening injury.

Police have maintained daily presence in Dolores Park since an Aug. 3 shooting that injured three people, though it’s unclear whether the arrest was due to the increased police presence.
