Two women were attacked and robbed by a group of five juveniles near 23rd and Bartlett streets on Thursday, police report. At approximately 11 p.m., the 63-year-old and 23-year-old women were walking down the street when the group of teens approached them, snatching their purses, cell phones, wallets and cash.

During the struggle, both women fell to the ground, injuring their heads, but refused medical attention once police arrived.  The group fled on foot and no arrests have been made.

A 28-year-old San Francisco resident was arrested and booked for burglary after entering the home a residence near 21st and Guerrero streets on Thursday evening. At approximately 21:28 p.m., the burglar, identified as Phillip Martinez, entered the home while its 44-year-old tenant was sleeping.

When the man awoke to noises, he checked his home and found the Martinez, according to police. When Martinez refused to leave the house, the victim called the police, who arrested him.
