Eater reports that the recently shuttered Radish on 19th and Lexington is slated to become Media Noche, a fast-casual dining spot offering Cuban flavors via Miami – that includes sandwiches, meat and rice bowls, empanadas, sangrias, and ice cream popsicles.
The concept draws talent from several local eateries like Tacolicious, Delfina, Beretta, and Barzotto.
Dishes fall mostly into the $12-$16 range, and the new restaurant is expected to open in February.
Other recent restaurant news:
- The former Bar Tartine owners have opened a Japanese-inspired, somewhat experimental restaurant in the former Herbivore space (no tipping!).
- Eater reports a dinner series is coming to Tartine’s Manufactory (plus, SFist beat us to the
punchlick in trying the Manufactory’s new ice creams) - Hoodline reports Dear Mom is changing things up to stay in place – there might be pool tables in play – but that it’s also dealing with patrons staying away because of homeless encampments nearby.
- Goodbye, American Grilled Cheese Kitchen, and hello, Michelin-starred, $200-per-person sushi sanctuary (Eater)
