According to police, a 31-year-old woman awoke at 8:00 a.m. to find her headphones, wallet, and passport missing from her home on Guerrero between 19th and 20th Streets. Surveillance footage later reviewed by the residents showed a 6-foot, 180-pound male entering the ground level common area of the multi-family home. He was carrying a flashlight and wearing a dark hoodie and blue jeans.  According to police, families were sleeping in the room when the suspect broke in, but the burglar didn’t wake them.

Later in the day, at around 4:45 p.m., a man donning a surgical mask walked into a liquor store on the 500 block of Precita Avenue. According to police, the man walked around the counter, pulled out a small black revolver, and demanded that the cashier empty the register into a bag. He then fled on foot. Police described the suspect as a 5-foot-10-inch, 125-pound man in his mid-20’s. He was wearing a black hat, back jacket, and of course, the surgical mask.
