It is 10:15 and these photos were taken earlier. It is now 51˚ and expected to rise to a cooler 61˚. Details for the next ten days are here.
Today’s Block: 23rd to 24th, Bryant to York.
The 24th St corridor is bright with murals, street art, store signs, pastries, produce. Twenty-third Street, meanwhile, is leafy, quiet, pastel in comparison. This morning was cool and overcast, a slow-to-wake Easter Sunday just before much-awaited rain. Seeing this block so early on a weekend is a new perspective for me – I used to pass this way daily on the way to work a couple years ago, the streets already full of people. Now, I’ve moved to a different Mission block, and explore this neighborhood through long walks. It’s a different neighborhood this early in the morning, and worth exploring.
With the light good early on, so much the better to sign on to document your block. Don’t wait! Let us know what day and block you would like at email@example.com.
You can see a map of all of the blocks here. The blocks in grey are being saved for others who have signed up. Let us save a block for you as well.
