This weekend, three shootings sent three men to the hospital in the Bayview, Ingleside and the Tenderloin. In the Mission, it was mostly quiet with hardly any incidents reported, according to the San Francisco Police Department crime recap. Though an armed robbery on Mission Street near Cortland sent one 49-year-old man to the hospital.
Early Monday morning, the man was leaving a bar near the corner of Cortland and Mission, when, according to the police, he went down a nearby alley with a woman in her 40s to have sex in exchange for cash. Waiting for them was another man who hit the 49-year-old over the head with a handgun. The duo took the man’s wallet and cell phone and ran off.
Besides the stolen property, the man had a bump on his head and was taken to San Francisco General Hospital. The two suspects are still at large.
