Joey and Pat's Bakery is open again, having closed for a few months after a Lexus crashed into their storefront. Photo by Joe Rivano Barros.

After a Lexus crashed into their Folsom Street bakery in March, Joey and Pat Tittoni were forced to close their bakery and await repairs, a process that took longer than intended due to delays in city permits for the construction.

But they’re finally back, their doors having opened on July 24, said Maria Smith, a new employee who joined after the reopening and added that things are “almost” back to normal.

So head down to the neighborhood establishment, at the corner of 21st and Folsom, for some almond biscotti or pignolli, and an Italian soda or cafe americano.
