Police are still looking for a dark, four-door sedan and the hit-and-run driver who killed a man on Valencia Street early Thursday. The Chronicle describes the victim as 30-year-old local painter Kurt Dalen, a 2010 graduate of the San Francisco Art Institute whose work was influenced by the many colorful murals in the Mission.
Batkid (Miles Scott) will once again make an appearance in our fair city. Brave the Bay 2013 starts at 8:30 a.m. with a fun run and features San Francisco police officers and others waging battle in a cable car pull from 11 a.m. to one p.m. to raise money for the Make-A-Wish Foundation, the same folks who organized Batkid’s action-packed day a few weeks back. All day from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., order an Irish Coffee at the famed Buena Vista Cafe and an officer will serve it to you, with all tips going to Make-A-Wish.
