It’s 7 a.m. and 46º, headed to 60º. There will be clouds this morning, but the sun should be out by afternoon.

Decked out in 49ers gear, San Francisco fans crowded Mission bars and block parties yesterday, and police prepared for the celebratory riots that would follow a Niners’ Super Bowl win. But the win and the riots didn’t happen, as the 49ers comeback fell short and the Baltimore Ravens won, 34-31.

The game wasn’t a complete loss, however; there were still the commercials. The San Francisco Chronicle recaps the best ads of the game. What were your favorites?

In the world outside of football, San Franciscans may not have to carry around coins for parking meters much longer — the city is considering proposals to replace all its meters with newer technology by fall.
