A 26-year-old man was robbed at gunpoint Friday at 22nd and Mission streets. The victim told police that the suspect entered his workplace, and when the victim walked to the back of the shop, followed him, pulled out a handgun and demanded cash. The victim complied and the suspect fled with the cash. There were no injuries and police have not arrested anyone in connection with the incident.
A robbery with force occurred at 7 p.m. on Friday on Church Street near 14th. A 28-year-old woman was walking north on Church when two men in their 20s approached her from behind and grabbed her. One suspect took the victim’s cell phone and threw her to the ground, scraping her knees. Both victims fled northward on foot, toward Market street.
Two women were followed by three men and one woman to 16th and Market streets at 2:35 a.m. on Saturday. An altercation arose, and one suspect brandished a Taser while her partners took two cell phones, cards and cash from the victims. The suspects fled on foot and via taxi cab, but were later intercepted by responding police units.
A 16-year-old boy sustained life-threatening injuries when he was shot at 1:22 a.m. on Saturday at 24th Street and Potrero Avenue. The teenager was walking with friends when four male suspects approached the group in a sedan vehicle. One suspect fired at the victim with a handgun, the bullets striking the victim in the torso. The victim walked to San Francisco General Hospital.
A 62-year-old man was robbed at 2 a.m. on Saturday on 22nd Street near South Van Ness Avenue. Three men surrounded the victim and threw him to the ground, robbing him of his cell phone, wallet and cash. No arrests have been made.
Two suspects, ages 50 and 30, robbed, punched and kicked a 22-year-old man on Mission Street near 17th at 9:37 p.m. on Sunday. The suspects snatched the victim’s MP3 player. One suspect was arrested but the other fled the scene. The victim sustained injuries that include a possible broken jaw and a cut lip; he was treated at a local hospital.
