It’s 7 a.m. and 57º, with a predicted high of 63º. It’s already raining this morning, so now that you’ve enjoyed a week of sunshine, settle in and enjoy the rain, because it’s here to stay.

The Chronicle reports that the Academy of Art in San Francisco is violating land-use rules and the city is doing nothing about it. According to City Attorney Dennis Herrera, this could indicate that the city is selectively enforcing planning codes and land-use rules.

In other news, the Planning Commission approved a proposed cap on the number of micro-apartments that can be built in the city. The measure, which requires that a study be completed before the cap could be lifted, must be rewritten to clarify exactly what information the study must provide.
