A women’s rights protest will take place today at the 24th Street BART station at noon in honor of Women’s National Equality Day. The event, sponsored by Women Organized to Resist and Defend (WORD), is one of many protests taking place around the United States in cities from Los Angeles to Chicago and New York.

According to an organizer, the rally will take place at the BART station from noon to 12:30 p.m., when protesters will march along 24th Street to Potrero del Sol Park.

If you attend and have any photos, comments or updates, please post them on our Facebook or Google+ pages, or tweet them out. If you’re looking for more information on WORD, check the DefendWomensRights.org website.
