Aug. 21 marked the 10th anniversary of the death Victor Miller, publisher of the New Mission News and the voice of the Mission. He died of a heart attack at age 54. According to BeyondChron, Miller’s goal was “comforting the afflicted and afflicting the comfortable,” a sentiment he expressed on the paper’s masthead from its start in 1980.
