A 25-year-old man was the victim of a robbery with force on Friday, according to police.

Shortly before midnight, three men between the ages of 18 and 20 stopped their car in front of the victim. All three exited the vehicle and chased the man before punching him several times and taking his shoes. The suspects then fled northbound on Mission Street in a light-colored four-door car.

The victim suffered a laceration to the eye and was treated at the scene.

The incident occurred on Mission and Cesar Chavez. No arrests have been made, police said.

Two suspects fired at a 20-year-old man as he was walking home on 24th near Shotwell Friday night, according to police. The victim was not hit by the gunshots but did flee the area. When officers found him they noticed he had an abrasion on his hand as a result of ducking the bullets, and he was treated by paramedics at the scene. The incident happened just before 11:30 p.m.

A little while later, police located a car on 21st and Shotwell streets that matched the description of the suspects’ vehicle. Officers found a firearm in the car and arrested the suspects, ages 30 and 36, who were booked on multiple felony firearm charges.

It does not appear that the victim and suspects knew each other, according to police. The gang task force is investigating the incident but has not determined if it was gang-related.

Saturday

A 61-year-old man was the victim of home break-in at approximately 6 a.m. on Saturday. When he woke up in the morning, he noticed that his laptop, money and purse were missing.

The victim had left his back door unlocked overnight.

The incident occurred on York between 20th and 21st streets. There is no information regarding possible suspects and no arrest has been made, police said.

A 78-year-old woman became the victim of a robbery with force on Saturday when a man knocked her to the ground and pulled a gold chain from her neck. The man, described as between the ages of 40 and 48, then fled on foot.

The woman suffered a scrape to her elbow but refused treatment.

The robbery occurred on 23rd between Harrison and Folsom streets at approximately 2:30 p.m.
