San Francisco police are asking for the public’s help in identifying two suspects from an Erie Street sexual assault case. The police department released a sketch of one of the suspects Tuesday.

According to police, the victim was sexually assaulted in the area of Erie and Mission streets on June 15 at 2 a.m. The suspects placed the victim in a “bear hug” and sexually assaulted her.

Police described one suspect as male, 20 to 25 years of age and 5 feet, 4 inches tall. He weighs approximately 140 pounds and has a piercing in his upper right eyebrow area. They have no description of the second suspect.

Police said previously that they had found some similarities between this sexual assault and a possible sexual assault on Capp Street which occurred a few days later. However, authorities did not say that this suspect was involved in the Capp Street case.

Anyone with information is asked to contact San Francisco Police Department anonymously at 415-575-4444 or text-a-tip.
