She started writing music at 13 to escape from the loud fights in the Puerto Rican household where she grew up.
“Tibbs has had the opportunity to play with many amazing artists, including Deer Tick, Chuck Prophet and Chris Pureka, to name a few,” her website says. “Her music can be listened to in the soundtrack of feature film “Pyramid Highway,” [and] she has released two albums, “No One’s Believer” and “Bicycle.”
She has been playing with a band called Kamp Camille, based in the Mission District, for about two years.
She says she is not a guitarist, just a singer, but the guitar helps her to compose music. She sings folk pop music and likes playing with different musicians.
