A man was stabbed at 1:20 a.m. Wednesday after getting off a Muni bus in the Mission, police said.
The 47-year-old victim exited the bus in the 3000 block of Mission Street, at 26th, and was approached by two men who threatened to kill him because they said he had disrespected them on the vehicle.
The two men began fighting with the victim and stabbed him in the chest and in the back. His injuries are not considered life-threatening, according to police.
The suspects were described as a man between 25 and 30 years of age and another around 40.

On 12/17/11 (Saturday night) between 11:30PM-12:00AM, my partner and I were approached by a 25-35 year old, 5’5”- 5’7” Latino male wearing a brown oversized hoodie as we were unlocking our bikes post an event nearby at Capp Street and Adair Street. While he did not seem drunk, the look in his eyes indicated that he may have been under the influence of drugs. He kept his right hand in his pocket (suggesting that he might have been concealing a weapon, although luckily none was used) the entire time he intimidatingly questioned us about where we were from (asking if we were from the Mission). He got increasingly agitated when we did not respond. He stood uncomfortably close to us and gave us very little space to move. Luckily, my partner and I were able to distract him and walk away to take cover at the venue we had just left. We notified the venue owners of the incident and they accompanied us to our bikes to allow us to safely leave the premises. I am very thankful that this situation did not escalate, but it was still a very unnerving encounter. Please, be aware of your surroundings.
Good question. 🙂 Updated. Thank you!
um….where?
