A 30-year-old woman was stabbed during a fight early today at Mission and 16th streets, according to police.

The victim and the suspect, a 35-year-old man, had been involved in a verbal argument around 2:43 a.m. During the argument, the suspect brandished an unknown sharp object and stabbed the woman in the collarbone.

The victim was transported to San Francisco General Hospital, where she was treated for non-life-threatening injuries. No arrest has been made.

  1. So, in other crime news. . . what was going on yesterday afternoon, Wed., 9/21, at Harrison & Cesar Chavez St? Around 4:30 or 5pm or so, sirens converged from everywhere, cops raced down Harrison at terrifying speeds (again) towards Cesar Chavez. At around 6pm we drove by, and a line of cop cars was on Harrison, plain-clothes guys were going in and out of a residence on Cesar Chavez; there was a large white SVU like the CSI’s drive. . . I thought surely something would be printed here on ML by now! Thanks for any info you have.

  2. do you have any info about the brutal beating at the SW corner of 16th and valencia that occurred at about 9pm 9/22? the victim was beaten, kicked and stomped unconscious, abulance took him to the hospital, then the suspect was surrounded by police at 16th and dolores and taken into custody after he fled west on foot. would like to know more about the outcome for both.
