The view from outside the ice cream shop shows debris that appears to have fallen from the ceiling.

City health inspectors closed Bombay Bazar and Ice Cream today, posting notices on the door and windows that stated food had potentially been contaminated.

The grocery store and ice cream shop received a health score of 88 last month for four low-risk violations and one moderate-risk violation, though none appear serious enough to warrant closure.

Another sign posted near the door read that there had been water damage, and looking through the windows into the ice cream side, there were visible sign of debris, as well as a gaping hole in the ceiling. Bombay Bazar and Ice Cream will be closed for a week during repairs.

Health inspectors now post closure notices at food establishments that they have closed temporarily.

More details to come.
