You read yesterday about how the Mission Bicycle Company was expanding their wares, and its supposed to be a great day outside, so why not take a look at Betty Bastidas’s feature on the store, which originally ran earlier this summer, and get out there and ride, hike around, do something!

Today looks to be a fantastic day, and most people are probably headed out of the Mission District either to the Outside Lands festival, or perhaps in a tastier cross-Bay venture, the Eat Real festival. You have to love a weekend where nice weather and outdoors events rule the day. Enjoy.

This seems pretty exciting – at least they look like they’re having fun – Allan Hough of Mission Mission got to take a ride inside of Banh Mi Schlomo’s three-wheeled parking cop Cushman. Doesn’t this look like the most fun food cart ever? Maybe rides will be offered at a premium.

Other Mission Mission news, I Live Here: SF features follow photog and shooter for Mission Mission Ariel Dovas in today’s post. And there are some nice shots on Julie’s Flickr feed as well.

And why? Why? WHY? Mr. Burbujas? Seriously? Did you have to leave your mark on Mr. Burbujas? Who brings a smile to my face every time I pass his cotton-cleansing visage? And the new Frieda mural across the street as well? What are your thoughts on this?

Because I cover food and photography: Eater SF reports that the space next to Luna Park is up for grabs. Every time plans for a new South Asian restaurant die, my heart breaks just a little bit.

But it’s healed by things such as this: the People’s Choice award mac & cheese recipe from SF Food Wars by @nataliehg and @katherine. Congrats for making it on!

And the photography part – check this great photo by Amal on Flickr.

Saturday looks alright to me.

  1. Armand, are you out of your mind? It’s beastly out there. Maybe fresca for Baton Rouge, but here better to stay inside and pray for a hurried return of the fog.
