As students were ending their first day of summer school at International Studies Academy (ISA) in Potrero Hill they were met with the sound of gunshots.
The shooting took place in front of the school as students were exiting the building for the day.
No students were hurt but police confirmed that one unidentified victim is suffering non-life threatening injuries. It has not yet been determined if students were involved in any way.
The school has 400 students enrolled for summer school in grades 6-12. A school staff person told Mission Loc@l that students attending summer school come from across the city and that students may not be familiar with one another.
The incident Monday marks the second gun scare for the school. A 14 year- old student was arrested in October for bringing a gun to campus.
