The San Francisco Chronicle is reporting that police found a body in a car at 17th Street and Treat Avenue.

Campers and other vehicles parking for more than a day can often be found on Treat Avenue between 17th and 16th streets. It is unclear if the body was found in one of these vehicles.

The original Mission District police station is on 17th Street, one building west of Treat Avenue. Nowadays, prostitutes often hang out on the northeast corner waiting for customers to pull over.

    Hi,
I saw the police hauling this body out of this black car at 17th and Mission Streets on Saturday. Ew. Does anyone know what had happened with it?

There were also a lot of cars parked along that street. Do people live there? They said that they didn’t know whether the body was a man or a woman, but it looked kind of heavy, so I was thinking a man, but does anyone know whether it was a man or woman?
