San Francisco police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a suspect in connection with two sexual assaults that took place on 24th Street in November, most recently early Thursday at 24th and Fair Oaks streets.
The attacks took place between 3 and 6:30 a.m. Both victims were attacked from behind. Police say that in both cases, a struggle ensued and the victims were sexually assaulted and robbed of their belongings. The suspect then fled on foot in an unknown direction.
According to the Fair Oaks Community Coalition, on Thursday SFPD “cordoned off the northwest corner [of Fair Oaks] during their investigation, and the fire department was later called to wash blood from the sidewalk.”
Police have classified these attacks as “very violent crimes,” and urge anyone with information to come forward. You can reach the Mission police station by e-mail at SFPDMissionStation@sfgov.org, on Twitter @sfpd_mission or by phone at 415-392-2623.
