The big news of today is the SF Mixtape Society meetup at the Make Out Room! Bring a mix tape, cd or usb (the far more lame option) and leave with another. Stay for The Glassines, Domestic Electrics and Fourteenth Floor.
Yesterday was possibly the first nice day of 2010, and looks like today will be the same. Better break out your gold Beretta heels and get ready strut down Mission Street.
Flickr user Nick.Fisher snapped this photo of police ticketing a man (woman?) on Mission Street. I noticed – for better or worse – the photo is tagged “crackhead.” Unfortunately, browsing through all Flickr photos tagged “crackhead” was much less interesting than I anticipated.
Last, it looks like all that rain took a toll on our crumbling sewer system, forcing raw sewage into the Bay. Since the city and state certainly don’t have any money to fix things, there’s a handy list of how only you can prevent sewage spills at the bottom of the story.

I agree it is way too commonly used.
If you look at the pic closely you can see both officers are counting bills (for the receipt I presume).
The whole stop was very jovial, the police seemed more interested in talking with each other than actually making an arrest. Probably why they left the rock.
I posted another shot with contents of her pockets clearly visible:

I uploaded an addion
Hey Nick,
Thanks for the clarification. It’s too easy for folks to throw around the term nowadays. Amazing the police didn’t bother to pick up the rock. What money are you talking about?
Hi Armand,
Thanks for posting my picture. I Just wanted to clarify: that photo is tagged crackhead because she was a crackhead. Among the contents of her pockets was a crack pipe. The police smashed it, kept the money (with receipt) and took off. However, She did manage to retrieve the rock afterward. I would never arbitrarily use that label without a good reason.
