Safari users here’s your link to Shalwah’s adventure in Thrift Town.

As seen by Plug1, this storefront has a lot to say.

Update 1:46 p.m. A special congratulations to Murat and Pelin of the Amuse Bouche food cart on their wedding yesterday!

Feel like grabbing a bite tonight? Need a chance to show off your new, freshly-waxed ‘stache that will be the envy of all on Valencia Street? Then head down to the latest street food night, the mustache edition. Tonight, 7pm, location TBA, so follow the magic curry kart and sexy soup cart, our subversive street food masterminds, on Twitter. Rumor is there’ll be gumbo.

Burrito Justice announces that “The Pi is Nigh” (sorry johnny0 I had to steal Allan’s head). This is exciting because you’ll be able to rock your inner math-nerd AND have pizza. Maybe they’ll have specials, like a free slice for every digit of pi you can recite past the 10th decimal place. Not to mention the fact that this addition makes up for the loss of Suriya Thai and allows for possible pizza/beer/cookies combinations on the block.

On to politics. Congratulations to Sonia Sotomayor on her confirmation to the Supreme Court. The Times also has a neat graphic on how the Republicans voted here.

And Streetsblog SF, in a great scoop yesterday, brought us news of the arrest of the hit-and-run driver that hit a father and his son on thier bike last month at 18th and Valencia. The 16-year old female Santa Clara resident who was driving was apparently booked into juvenile hall on a felony hit-and-run charge.

Also, for those of you who want to know more about the city’s proposed bike plan after this Tuesday’s marathon board of supervisors meeting (sweet jeebus), Patricia Decker of The Public Press has written up a summary, complete “bicycle-operated shredder.” (If anyone, anywhere has a picture of this Shredder on a bike, it would make me very, very happy, not to mention open up a whole new angle for San Francisco’s bike movement.)

This post ends in memoriam to John Hughes, 59, who died yesterday of a heart attack. Leave your favorite John Hughes movie quote on SFist.
