We’ve got another corruption update: An investigation with the FBI led DA Jenkins to file charges against Lanita Henriquez, director of the SF Community Challenge Grant Program, and Rudolph Dwayne Jones, a fixer described by city insiders as “Gavin Newsom’s guy in Bayview.” The complaint alleges Jones bribed Henriquez to direct grants to enterprises he controlled.
Mission Station’s top cop addressed a community meeting where the focus was on unresolved complaints about graffiti. The audience also wanted to tell the captain about illegal vending, public urination, and loud music.
A group of techies is planning an AI hackathon to come up with ways to improve San Francisco. They say they’ve identified eleven challenges in the city’s public sector where software solutions could help.
