An SFPD investigation found that Chris Samayoa, the rookie cop who shot and killed an unarmed man through his squad car window in 2017, had only violated the department’s camera and seatbelt policies. Criminal charges against Samayoa were dropped by D.A. Brooke Jenkins after she replaced Chesa Boudin.

A federal judge has ruled that 113 children and adults arrested by S.F. police officers at the notoriousย 2023 Dolores Park “hill bomb” can legally join forces and sue the city together. The city has argued that the SFPD exercised “appropriate crowd control” at the skateboarding event.
