Parents of teens caught in the mass arrests at July’s Dolores Park “hill bomb” filed a claim against the city yesterday, naming three police officials behind the decision-making. Plaintiffs say the children were prevented from leaving the area and corralled between police lines, then zip-tied and held for hours.
A judge denied a motion today to set bail for Nima Momeni, jailed since April on murder charges for the stabbing death of tech exec Bob Lee. The prosecutor said Momeni’s own family “describes him as a lunatic and as psychotic.”
Supervisors on the Land Use and Transportation committee approved elements of the Mayor’s plan to streamline housing. Concern persists about rules that would make it easier to demolish rent-controlled buildings.
