Good afternoon!
What’s new in the Mission? We look at cool projects from seniors at John O’Connell Technical High School. The students are designing and building solar-powered houses and rainwater collection systems, baking pan de muertos and challah, and planning homeless communities. And check out these cool photos from a Saturday stroll on Valencia: please note the owl, and the open-air orgy.
And we’ve got some news updates: On Friday, the police shot and killed an armed man after a lengthy standoff in Glen Park; Joe Eskanazi has a quick update on the piece today. And the lawyer for Jesus Esparza, the alleged killer of 64-year-old Mei Ran Hu, said he suffers from such severe mental illness that he does not know why he is behind bars or even that he has been accused of murder.
More soon,
Sara
