It’s end-of-year giving season—and we have matching funds.

Good morning!

Ever wondered if the notorious Bernie Curran, RoDBIrigo Santos, or one of the other federally charged DBI fixers, worked on your house? Or if there was funny business at a neighbor’s building? Explore Will Jarrett’s amazing new map of the thousands of projects around the city where Curran, Santos, Cyril Yu and Rudy Pada, separately or in combination, worked their magic.

Three days into the ban on Mission St. sidewalk sales, the chase goes on. Mission Local talked with vendors at the plazas who simply move to a new spot when enforcement teams come . And we learned what vendors think about those city-run indoor spaces.

Mission Local is hiring! We’re looking for a development associate to help the newsroom with fundraising. It’s a full-time, in-person job working at our Mission offices: Apply before January 11.

Our matching season is halfway through, and we’re so grateful for all the readers who’ve donated to Mission Local. Thank you—and if you haven’t made your contribution yet, please consider giving today.

More soon,

Sara
