You kind of wondered, but Joe Eskenazi found out: He talked with former London Breed staffers who say yes, she did appoint Stephen Sherrill as D2 supervisor in order to court favor with NYC billionaire Michael Bloomberg. Breed denied it, calling the allegations “deeply offensive.” Watch Joe’s video interview with former Breed loyalist and political trickster Conor Johnston.

Clara-Sophia Daly reports that by fall San Francisco’s last immigration court will be run by the Concord court, and most cases will be heard across the Bay. Lawyers expect more confusion as judges are fired, courts closed, and the legal status for different groups is changed.
