Good afternoon!

Ho Yin Mo, a former Chinese-language television anchor who works for Assemblywoman Catherine Stefani, was detained by federal agents last week at the Las Vegas airport. The entire Board of Supervisors has signed a letter demanding the release of Mo, who also worked as a liaison with the Chinese community for former mayor London Breed‘s reelection campaign.

And D9 Supervisor Jackie Fielder introduced legislation today that would allow street vendors to sell food cooked at home, following state guidelines that have been successfully tested in nearby counties. Oscar Palma writes about what the new law could mean for Mission Street vendors.

The city promised to slow cars on eight streets in the Sunset, reports Junyao Yang, but five years later only one is done. Read what’s holding up efforts to improve pedestrian and cyclist safety in the car-heavy neighborhood.

More soon,
