Attorneys for Nima Momeni, accused of murdering tech executive Bob Lee, delayed his hearing to set a trial date, pushing it back to November 30. They said they needed more time for discovery, and that they’d been unable to get the police to return Momeni’s white BMW to his family.

After years of waiting and dreaming, 81-year-old Patrick Quilan’s plan to build housing in Bernal Heights was crushed, when he lost the land he bought in 1978 to foreclosure. Annika Hom has followed this story since 2019, and writes about Quinlan’s sisyphean struggle to win the entitlements for 10 units.

Cruise’s license to operate driverless taxis in the city was abruptly revoked by the DMV yesterday, but as far back as October 3, the company knew that one of its driverless vehicles had dragged a woman 20 feet, leaving a trail of blood on the pavement. Cruise denies it withheld information from investigators about the accident.
